Colors of Tet in Da Nang
According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, throughout the Tet holiday 2026, the city will host a series of cultural and festive activities imbued with the atmosphere of traditional Tet.
Programs such as the Spring Fair 2026, the An Hai Folk Tet Festival, the Traditional Tet Space, the Tet Market, and the "Traditional Tet in Hoi An" Market recreate familiar cultural values of Vietnamese Tet through activities such as making ‘banh chung’, receiving calligraphy blessings from calligraphers, folk games, and traditional art performances.
One of the most notable highlights of Spring 2026 will be the Lunar New Year’s Eve fireworks displays, staged simultaneously at six locations across the city.
Alongside cultural events, tourism activities during Tet in Da Nang are supported by a network of destinations open throughout the holiday. Many tourist sites, museums, and cultural relics will open free of charge from the first day of Tet, aimed at meeting the sightseeing and leisure needs of visitors.
From February 16 - 19 (the 29th day of the 12th lunar month to the third day of the first lunar month), admission fees will be waived at the Hoi An Ancient Town and Kim Bong Carpentry Village as a Tet incentive for visitors.
Meanwhile, at the My Son Sanctuary, the holiday period will feature a series of activities including the "Spring Journey to the Ancient Towers" art program, workshops on traditional Cham and Vietnamese handicrafts, a spring fair, and local cuisine.

Extending spring atmosphere
Beyond the peak days of the Lunar New Year 2026, Da Nang’s festival season is designed to run throughout February and into early March 2026, allowing visitors greater flexibility in choosing their spring getaway.
Post-Tet events will further enrich the experience while maintaining the city’s vibrant cultural rhythm. Key festivals will include the Light and Heritage Festival at the Hoi An Memories Island, the Tulip Flower Festival at the Sun World Ba Na Hills, the God of Wealth Festival at Than Tai Hot Springs Park, and the Lantern Festival.
Also, there will be a range of traditional craft village and folk festivals such as the Cau Bong Festival, the Tuy Loan Communal House Festival, the Ba Cho Duoc and the Ba Chiem Son festivals, and the Sticky Corn Festival.
In addition, during the first lunar month, the “Colors of Tra Van” cultural and tourism festival is expected to be held for the first time. It will showcase the vibrant spring colors of the highlands and bring the famed aromas of cinnamon and ginseng closer to visitors.
With thorough preparation, a multi-dimensional festival space, and emotionally resonant highlights, Da Nang during the Tet 2026 will be not only a destination for celebrating spring, but also a journey to experience the culture, history, and authentic rhythm of life in Central Vietnam.
Between February 14 - 22, 2026 (the 27th day of the 12th lunar month to the 6th day of the 1st lunar month), more than 1,500 flights are expected to operate to Da Nang, averaging about 175 flights per day, a sharp increase compared to the same period last year.
Based on information revealed from local accommodation providers, occupancy rates at many four- and five-star hotels reach 80 - 90% during Tet.
According to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, all figures reflect Da Nang’s sustained appeal to both domestic and international travelers.
