(TITC) – On 29 March 2016, workshop “Indonesia Table Top Tourism” was held in Ha Noi with the aim of boosting tourism cooperation opportunity between Vietnamese and Indonesian enterprises.
The workshop, in the framework of the strategic development cooperation between Viet Nam - Indonesia, attracted the participation of various Vietnamese tourism businesses and media agencies.
Speaking at the workshop, Indonesian Ambassador to Viet Nam Ibnu Hadi appreciated the peaceful beauty of Viet Nam with many interesting attractions namely Ha Long Bay, Phu Quoc Island, Hue Imperial Citadel... which are similar to some attractions in Bali, Lombok, Java, Komodo, Sumatera, Flores...of Indonesia.
He informed that the number of Indonesian tourists to Viet Nam reached nearly 60,000 arrivals and Indonesia welcomed approximately 50,000 Vietnamese tourist arrivals per year. The Ambassador hoped that the workshop organized in Viet Nam for the second time would provide opportunity to increase the number of tourists exchange between the two countries. In the coming time, he will focus on promoting commercial activities, investment and tourism in Viet Nam. In 2016, the Indonesian Embassy in Viet Nam will host cultural exchange activities between Viet Nam and Indonesia on the occasion of National Day of Indonesia (August 27).
The Ambassador would like to promote Indonesia’s image, country and people to Vietnamese citizens in important cultural, tourism events held in Viet Nam. In his effort, he will foster the opening of direct flights from Ha Noi to Indonesia which facilitate tourists travelling between the two countries.
