A conference to promote and draw investment in tourism in Quang Binh was held by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on April 11th, in Ha Noi.
The conference aimed to provide specific information on tourism products and services in Quang Binh, creating chances for service suppliers in Quang Binh and travel agencies in Ha Noi to meet, exchange and study information, and seek cooperation opportunities.
Quang Binh considers Ha Noi and northern localities as its most important tourist market with favorable transport system, as it takes seven hours by road, nine hours by train or one hour by air for tourists to come from Ha Noi to Quang Binh.
Quang Binh has many advantages to tap and develop various types of tourism such as sightseeing, recreation and adventure. In recent years, the province’s tourism has seen sharp growth, greeting nearly three million arrivals in 2015, including some 100,000 foreign arrivals.
In 2016, Quang Binh promises to welcome 3.3 million tourist arrivals, in which more than 100,000 will be international arrivals.
Aiming to achieve the goal, the province continues to improve the quality of tourism products and services, gradually synchronize tourism infrastructure, speed up management of price listings, especially for accommodation services, enhance environmental protection and put new tourism routes into operation.
