The strawflower-made Goddess of Mercy statue was first set up in 2009, on the seven-storey bell tower of Linh Phuoc Pagoda.

The 17 metre-high statue was mounted from 650 thousand strawflowers (approx. 1.6 tons of flowers) and the statues took 36 days to be completed by Buddhists and artisans.

Previously, the statue had set the Vietnamese record in 2010 and the Asian record in 2012. On average every two years, the flowers of the statue are completely renewed.

In addition, Linh Phuoc Pagoda has 13 works, which were recognised with Vietnamese and Asian records.

Located at Trai Mat, eight kilometres from the centre of Da Lat, Linh Phuoc Pagoda is famous thanks to its structure, which is intricately adorned with millions of pieces of broken bottles and ceramics.

The pagoda is one of the most attractive destinations in Da Lat city.
