Opening tourism safely contributes to economic recovery

Speaking at the seminar, journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper said that at present, the Party and State have high concern to economic recovery. The tourism industry is planned to reopen early. Vietnam tourism has a great effort in the recovery of international tourism and affirms Vietnam as one of the safe and attractive destinations in Southeast Asia.

With the motto of ensuring safety to serve visitors, Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong - General Director of Vinpearl Luxury said that the event to welcome international tourists by vaccine passports to Phu Quoc on November 20 is an important step affirming the attractiveness of the pearl island of Kien Giang Province, along with the ability to offer high-class tourism services in the new context, towards building a leading tourist destination.

In order to open up sustainably, Vinpearl build recovery strategy as increasing the number of visitors while ensuring safety and service quality, anticipating the demand for luxury resorts from international markets. Vinpearl completed chain of high-class resort activities, experiences and discoveries.

Ms. Phuong suggested continue communicating to affirm that Vietnam is a safe destination, gradually removing the usual fearful reactions from international markets. At the same time, Vietnam should link with safe countries to deploy the "tourist bubble" model.

Ms. Tran Nguyen from Sun World Division (Sun Group) said that the Covid-19 pandemic had a great impact on the tourism industry, in which Sun Group was heavily affected. Over the past time, the Group has improved service facilities to be ready to welcome visitors.

She proposed simplifying entry procedures for international visitors, supporting businesses to restore domestic and international tourism. Besides, businesses also need to upgrade the quality of services, enrich visitor experience. Localities should agree to use common medical declaration software to create convenience for visitors.

Speaking at the seminar, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism shared the tourism recovery plan of the city’s tourism and some remarkable results.

She supposed enhancing communication about safe tourism, synchronization in the opening of tourism in localities, implementing policies to encourage businesses to create new tourism products and services.

Attending the seminar, Mr. Ha Van Sieu - Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) informed that VNAT has implemented communication campaign on digital platform under the theme “Safe destination, full experience” for domestic tourism and “Live fully in Vietnam” for international tourism.

In the coming time, VNAT will continue to promote Vietnam as safe and friendly destination.
