International visitor arrivals to Vietnam in November increases more than 40%

(TITC) – The General Statistics Office announced on November 29 that international visitors to Vietnam in November 2021 reached over 15,000 arrivals, an increase of 42.4% compared to October 2021.

The number of International visitors increased because starting from November, the Government allows to implement the pilot plan to welcome international tourists to Phu Quoc Island (Kien Giang), Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Da Nang and Quang Ninh. They are required come to Vietnam through charter flights and trade flights, traveling by package tours and using selected tourist service establishments.

In the first 11 months of 2021, international visitors to Vietnam reached 140.1 thousand arrivals, down 96.3% over the same period last year. In which, visitors arriving by air accounted for 68.9% of international arrivals to Vietnam, down 96.9%; by road accounted for 30.7% and decreased by 92.9%; by sea, accounted for 0.4% and decreased by 99.7%.

Earlier, on November 20, 2021, Vietjet Air's VJ3749 flight with 202 Korean tourists from Incheon (Korea) landed at Phu Quoc International Airport, Kien Giang Province, Vietnam. The delegation was solemnly welcomed by Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Vietjet Air, Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee and related units.

VNAT's Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh affirmed this event is an important restarting, marking a new step in the effort to revive the tourism industry, towards step-by-step opening up and economic development in the new normal.

The reception of international tourists is guaranteed to comply with the "5K message", meeting the requirements of Ministry of Health while ensuring the quality of services to affirm the tourist attractiveness of Vietnam in new normal, towards the message "Live fully in Phu Quoc, Live fully in Vietnam".
