In November 2023, saxophonist Kenny G had an explosive performance in Ha Noi during his second tour in Vietnam. At the show "Kenny G Live in Vietnam" taking place at the National Convention Center, thousands of spectators in the capital were attracted by the trumpet sound of the American legend with famous songs associated with his name, including the version “Going Home”.

After the show, Kenny G also recorded at famous landmarks in Ha Noi to make the MV "Going Home". At the time of filming the MV, artist Kenny G wrote a handwritten message to express his affection for Ha Noi and the Vietnamese audience.

In this MV "Going Home", the audiences either listen to the saxophone sound in the familiar song by Kenny G or admire places with cultural and historical values of Ha Noi as well as Vietnam such as: Hoan Kiem Lake, Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Long Bien Bridge…

Not only introducing top music, the MV "Going Home" is an opportunity to spread the historical, cultural values and beauty of Vietnamese people, contributing to promoting the country's tourism development.

The capital of a thousand years of civilization appears with a beauty that is peaceful, romantic, heroic, and ancient, with music familiar to millions of audiences.

According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, this idea comes from the "Good Morning Vietnam" programme initiated by Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group in 2023, all profits from ticket sales will be used for charitable purposes.

“We also invited legendary saxophonist Kenny G back to Vietnam and he appreciated the good meaning of the programme. So he donated a trumpet to contribute to the charity fund. He also enthusiastically participated in a music video promoting Ha Noi tourism."

Mr. Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said, music is a part of life, enjoying music is always the way to bring us closer together. In particular, music is the shortest way to promote tourism, bringing the beauty of Ha Hoi in particular and Vietnam in general to the world.
