A seminar seeking ideas to promote cooperation in the tourism industry among the Central Highlands and Southern Central provinces took place in Pleiku City on March 24.
It is high time that the provinces had stronger links and jointly tapped the region’s tourism potential, said participants at the seminar entitled “Linking up for tourism development in Central Highlands and Southern Central provincesâ€.
They agreed that the provinces should design plans, including the creation of tourism products, link tourist sites and cooperate in event organisation and human resource training for the industry.
In addition, it is vital to build an inter-provincial transport system and cooperate with northern and southern provinces as well as with Cambodia and Laos’s neighbouring provinces in opening tours, they said.
The provinces, home to abundant tourism potential, have attracted a great number of domestic and foreign visitors over the past years.
