The Spring Flower Festival 2013, under the theme "The country's position and people's will," opened in Tao Dan Park, Ho Chi Minh City on February 5.
Organised by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the 12-day event features more than 8,000 exhibits including various kinds of bonsai and flowers, rock sculptures, and ornamental fish and birds.
Visitors can also see a calligraphy exhibition, try Tet specialties at a food zone, enjoy art performances or join in folk games, which are available at the event.
The annual festival is a special cultural activity of the city, which provides the gardeners and artisans in and out the country an opportunity to exchange and popularise their products.
Besides, the city will organise three large-scale flower markets this year, which open at "September 23" park and Le Van Tam park in district I and Gia Dinh park in Go Vap district.
