(TITC) - From 8th to 13th August 2013, at Da Nang Expo Centre, Da Nang City's People's Committee in collaborating with departments of Trade and Industry, Foreign Affairs and Culture, Sports and Tourism and Da Nang Investment Promotion Centre organize East-West Economic Corridor's International Investment, Trade and Tourism Fair 2013 (EWEC - Da Nang 2013).
This is the 3rd time that the East-West Economic Corridor's International Investment, Trade and Tourism Fair held in Da Nang and this year's fair has largest scale ever. The fair aims to promote investment, trade and tourism of the countries in the East-West Economic Corridor; at the same time create opportunities for local businesses in Viet Nam, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar to meet, discuss and seek chances of investment cooperation and market expansion.
This year's fair has the participation of 280 units with 450 booths, including 211 domestic businesses with 338 booths; trade promotion organizations, business associations in 17 provinces and cities in Viet Nam with 60 booths; 50 foreign businesses including: 40 Thai businesses with 40 booths, 9 Lao businesses with 9 booths, 1 Cambodian business with 1 booth; 2 international organizations with 1 booth of South Africa's Embassy and 1 booth of Cambodian Chamber of Commerce.
EWEC - Da Nang 2013 focuses on introducing tourism, trade and investment products such as: calling investment and real estate projects; electricity, electronics, information technology products; furniture, interior decoration, handicraft products; textiles, fashion accessories, footwear; tourism services; cuisine... The fair also forms many areas such as: the exhibition of EWEC's countries, international organizations and key economic region, provinces in the Central - Highlands region; the exhibition of specific products of the provinces in the Central - Highlands region, Southeast region and businesses in the Mekong Delta, Ho Chi Minh City; the exhibition of tourism products and services, banking; the exhibition of the craft village products; interior decoration, handicraft souvenirs...
In addition, in the framework of the fair, there are many other activities such as: workshops on calling investment in the EWEC; nightly music exchange programs; games, lucky draw; promotional programs for consumers... The East-West Economic Corridor International Investment, Trade and Tourism Fair - Da Nang 2013 is the opportunity for domestic and foreign businesses to further exchanges and cooperation, contributing to economic growth in the localities in the East-West Economic Corridor.
