Ba Ria-Vung Tau organizes Viet Nam - Japan Culture Day

(TITC) - On August 24th 2013, at the Cultural Center, the Provincial People's Committee organized the Viet Nam - Japan Culture Day with the participation of 1,500 Vietnamese and Japanese people.

 

 

 

Vice Chairman of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau's Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Nien said this event aimed to boost exchange between Vietnamese and Japanese people and introduce Japanese culture in Viet Nam and Ba Ria Vung Tau and vice versa. The culture day would help to enhance the friendship relation between the 2 countries.

 

On the Viet Nam - Japan Culture Day, the visitors could visit the booths introducing the cultural characteristics of Viet Nam and Japan such as: Haiku poetry, Haiku and Viet Nam calligraphy; Kimono costume; the traditional Japanese art of paper folding (Origami); Japan's traditional dolls and souvenirs; Japan's comic strip (manga); Japan's traditional sport (kendo); Viet Nam's traditional souvenirs...

 

In addition, the visitors also had a chance to joined the traditional games, and taste typical cuisine of Viet Nam and Japan.
