Nearly 20 events have been held to mark the 50th founding anniversary of Quang Ninh province. Many activities took place at the beginning of this year, and nine major activities will be held in October 2013.
The highlight will be the meeting to be held on the evening of October 30 which will be broadcast live on VTV1 of the Vietnam Television and QTV1 of Quang Ninh provincial Television.
The meeting will draw the participation of nearly 500 artists, models, actors and actresses; 24 performing groups including 2,466 people from the armed forces, people's public security, agencies and organizations.
The information was released at a press briefing held by the Organizing Board of the 50th founding anniversary of Quang Ninh province.
There is also an exhibition, an international marathon, the 17th Vietnam film festival, folklore singing festival, the inauguration of museum and library, and art performances.
