In the first nine months this year, total tourist arrivals to Quang Ninh province reached more than 6 million, a year-on-year rise of 10 percent, including more than 1.8 million foreign tourists, up 20 percent, with over 2.9 million tourists staying overnight, up 24 percent.
Total tourism turnover during the period posted more than VND3.7 trillion, 72.7 percent of the set plan and a year-on-year rise of 14 percent.
Currently, Quang Ninh has series of tourism activities to attract more tourists to the province, such as booths advertising Ha Long tourism in the Cherry Blossom Festival, the Ha Long Gastronomy and Trade Fair, and the Hai Phong Trade and Tourism Fair under the framework of the National Tourism Year in the Red River Delta and Hai Phong.
