(TITC) - Since early this year, Hoi An City (Quang Nam Province) has attracted 1.3 million tourist arrivals, increasing by 22.9% over the same period last year. Total same-day visitor arrivals reached 926,500, increasing by 18.6%; total over-night tourist arrivals reached 593,000, increasing by 16.2%.
To gain this result, Hoi An City has focused on tourism promotion, investment diversification and improving the quality of tourism services especially at Cu Lao Cham.
In addition, Hoi An City has allowed to build 100 new tourist accommodations, including 10 hotels, 71 homestay establishment and 19 villas. Besides, 32 tourism projects have been completed and put into operation, bringing the total tourist accommodations of the city to 105 with 4,350 rooms.
In the first 9 months of 2013, Quang Nam Province attracted 2.6 million tourist arrivals, increasing by 19.32% over the same period of 2012; total tourism receipts reached VND 1,231 billion, up 25.9% over the same period of 2012.
