A series of Duong Lam ancient village preservation projects to be carried out

According to Pham Hung Son, chief of Duong Lam ancient village management board, Hanoi city and Son Tay town will carry out a series of projects to preserve and promote Duong Lam ancient village relics.

To solve problems in Duong Lam ancient village, Son Tay town is carrying out projects on the relocation and restoration of ancient houses. Especially, a project on economic development and changing the model from agriculture to tourism service will be carried out this year.


Hanoi city People’s Committee approved a plan on the restoration of Duong Lam ancient village with an investment of VND15 billion.

Duong Lam ancient village was presented with the award of merit of the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation in Hanoi in February 2014.
