Luxury cruise liner brings 2,500 tourists to central region

Luxury cruise ship, Celebrity Century, anchored at Chan May port in central Thua Thien-Hue province on January 29, bringing 2,500 tourists to world-renowned sites in the central region.

The visitors of the cruise ship are from the US, Canada, Australia and other European countries.

After docking, tourists will join on-land tours to discover Hue, Hoi An, and Da Nang, while remaining passengers will take time to visit, shop, and learn about Da Nang’s cultural heritage.

Earlier, the Celebrity Century ship of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. docked at the Tan Cang-Cai Mep Port in Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province on January 27. Tourists visited popular tourist destinations in Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau and Ba Ria cities.

The ship will return again to Viet Nam from February 27 to 28 on the Nha Trang-Vung Tau route and from March 10 to 12 on the Vung Tau-Hue route.

The Celebrity Century features restaurants serving international food, bars, meeting rooms, a movie theater, an outdoor swimming pool and spa, as well as a golf driving range. It can carry over 2,600 passengers and crewmembers.

In addition to Viet Nam, the cruise ship’s itineraries include Manila and Boracay of the Philippines, Yangon in Myanmar and Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei.
