Ho Chi Minh City há planned fireworks displays at 4 localtions to ring in New Year 2026
At midnight on January 1, 2026, a 15-minute fireworks show will light up the sky from 00:00 to 00:15.
High-altitude fireworks will be launched from three locations - near the eastern entrance of the Saigon River Tunnel (An Khanh Ward), the central area of the new urban district in Binh Duong Ward, and at Tam Thang Square in Vung Tau Ward.
A fourth site for a low-altitude display will be held at the Dam Sen Cultural Park in Binh Thoi Ward.
Beyond fireworks displays, the city will organise a wide range of cultural and art performances to welcome the new year. A countdown event will take place on the evening of December 31 at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, with the potential to expand to surrounding areas including Le Loi Street, Lam Son Park and the frontage of the Municipal Theatre of Ho Chi Minh City, effectively turning the city centre into a large outdoor stage for the night.
In addition, the festive atmosphere will be amplified by lighting installations and cultural-artistic performances across multiple locations, aimed at both residents and visitors.
The fireworks and events will be financed through socialised funding, without drawing directly on public budget allocations, according to the municipal administration.
