A large number of airlines operating in Viet Nam have released a whole bunch of last-minute sale fares for travel this TET holiday.
The northern province of Quang Ninh greeted about 500,000 tourists during the nine-day Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday 2016 (from February 7th to 14th), a year-on-year increase of 16-18%, reported the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Viet Nam National Flag Carrier (Vietnam Airlines) said that from September 18th it will add 600,000 seats on all domestic routes to meet the increased demand for air travel and reduce airport overload during Tet holiday 2016.
The Viet Nam Railway Corporation (VNR) will sell train tickets for the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday from October 1.
The low-cost carrier Vietjet Air has launched a massive promotional campaign on all domestic routes and international flights from Viet Nam to Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan (China), the Republic of Korea and Myanmar with the policy to meet the increasing demand for air travel before, during and after the Lunar New Year (Tet holiday).
Over 75,000 tourists, including 40,000 foreigners, have booked tours to the central province of Thua Thien-Hue during the traditional Vietnamese New Year holiday, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, plans to add 1,200 flights from January 28, 2015 to March 18, 2015 to meet the increased demand for air travel and reduce airport overload during Tet holiday.
