(TITC) - On 24 June 2014, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh led Vietnamese delegation to attend Viet Nam Culture Day 2014 in the Russian Federation (from 24 June to 2 July 2014). The delegation also has the present of representatives of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), involved units and Vietnamese tourism enterprises.
(TITC) - May 16, 2014 in Ha Noi, Travel Department – Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and Viet Nam Tourism Association organized a meeting with tourist group of Beijing Mega International Tourism Co., Ltd – Shanghai Branch as they have visiting famous destinations in Viet Nam including Ha Noi, Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh Province) and Ho Chi Minh City.
Viet Nam has so far welcomed 3,748,109 foreign tourists in 2014, marking a year-on-year increase of 26.07 percent and fulfilling nearly 47 percent of its target of greeting eight million vacationers by the end of the year.
On May 22, the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), in association with European Union project on Environmentally and Socially Responsible Tourism Capacity Development Programme, organised a conference to collect ideas to build Viet Nam Annual Tourism Report 2013.
Promoting cooperation between Viet Nam and Russia in tourism was the focus of a workshop held in the central coastal province of Phu Yen on May 23, after experts in the field were invited by the provincial People’s Committee and the Institute of Oriental Studies and Development to discuss the issue.
Viet Nam recorded 170,772 Japanese arrivals, ranking third in international travel volume, in the first quarter of 2014, according to the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
The number of foreign tourist arrivals to Viet Nam in the first quarter of 2014 reached an estimated 2.32 million, a 29.3 percent rise over a year previous, according to the General Department of Statistics.
Viet Nam’s tourism appeal is taking center stage at the 21st Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition which opened in Moscow on March 19.
