Vietnam Airlines announced on April 11 that it will add more than 100 domestic and international flights to its schedule, equivalent to over 15,000 flights, to serve the increasing travel demand during Liberation Day on April 30 and May Day on May 1.
The number of tourists to the central coastal city of Da Nang reached more than 355,500 on holidays between April 28 and May 1, a year-on-year surge of 14.2 percent.
The capital city of Ha Noi welcomed more than 54,000 international visitors during the four-day holidays from April 29 to May 2, a year-on-year increase of 33 percent.
