Vinpearl Golf Nha Trang
In recent years, golf tourism has emerged as one of Vietnam’s strategic tourism products. The country is widely regarded as an ideal golf destination in Asia thanks to its diverse terrain, long coastline with pristine beaches, majestic mountainscapes, and tropical climate - conditions that are highly favorable for developing golf courses and the golf-tourism segment. Vietnam’s golf courses boast excellent quality, exceptional locations with beautiful scenery, and seamless connections to luxury resorts, creating strong appeal for leisure travelers.
Statistics show that Vietnam is now home to more than 80 international-standard golf courses spanning all three regions of the country. Major golf hubs include Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, and Lam Dong. Many courses were designed by world-renowned legends such as Greg Norman, Nick Faldo, and Luke Donald, adding to their allure among international golfers.
The development of golf courses is closely linked with high-end resort complexes built by leading corporations. A series of coastal, hillside, and eco-retreat golf courses have been introduced, forming a strong “Resort + Golf + Integrated Leisure Property” ecosystem that significantly contributes to tourism revenue and local socio-economic growth.
In July 2025, Vietnam’s Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism reappointed golf legend Greg Norman as Vietnam’s Tourism Ambassador for the 2025-2030 term. This milestone underscores Vietnam’s commitment to elevating its position on the world golf tourism map and strengthening international promotion efforts.
In his new term, Greg Norman plans to focus on several strategic areas to enhance Vietnam’s position in the global tourism market. He will use his personal media channels, international network, and appearances at major events to highlight Vietnam’s world-class golf courses and breathtaking natural landscapes.
Up to now, Greg Norman has promoted Hanoi, Hue and Ho Chi Minh cities on his media channels.
