2015 national great solidarity – Viet Nam cultural heritage week

The 2015 national great solidarity – Viet Nam cultural heritage week will be held at the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Dong Mo, Son Tay Town, Ha Noi from 15 to 23 November.

The event co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, central and local sectors and branches is to mark the 75th anniversary of Viet Nam National United Front Day (18 November 1940 – 18 November 2015) and the Viet Nam Cultural Heritage Day (23 November).

Besides, the week is also to welcome and the 12th National Party Congress.

The event is hoped to draw the participation of a number of ethnic groups including Thai, Kho Mu (Dien Bien); Ta Oi (Thua Thien - Hue); Cham (Binh Dinh), M’nong (Dak Lak), San Chay (Bac Giang), Kinh, Hoa, Khmer (Can Tho), Kinh (Tra Vinh, Ha Noi)…

The traditional festivals of the ethnic groups will be re-enacted such as the “Praying for rain” festival of Kho Mu people; AzaKooh festival of Ta Oi people; Wedding ceremony of San Chay, Hair washing festival of Thai ethnic group.

In the framework of the event, exhibitions such as “National great solidarity around the Party”, 120 posters to welcome the 12th National Party congress and “Lotus in Vietnamese Culture”; an art program titled “Constant believe” will also take place.

The event, an important cultural event, is expected to honor the Vietnamese cultural identity at the common house for 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.
