(TITC) – From December 26-30, 2015, an int’l presstrip with delegates from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, England, Australia and India surveyed products and services for golf tourism in Viet Nam.
Accordingly, the presstrip visited Chi Linh Golf Course (Hai Duong Province), Kingsland Dong Mo Golf Course and Soc Son Golf Course (Ha Noi). They also visited Chi Lang Nam Stork Island, green bean cake village and Kiep Bac Temple (Hai Duong Province); Viet Nam Museum of Ethnology; Temple of Literature; Central Sector of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long; Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and watching water puppet (Ha Noi)…and worked with Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism; Viet Nam Golf Association and Viet Nam Golf Magazine.
Golf is an attractive sport favoured by many countries around the world including Viet Nam. Golf creates social and economic benefits contributing to the national budget, creating jobs and attracting high-end tourists. Presently, Viet Nam has 36 golf courses locating in 7 tourism regions. It is expected that Viet Nam will have 80 golf courses by 2020.
In 2013 and 2015, Viet Nam was awarded “Golf Destination of Asia - Oceania” by International Association of Golf Tour Operators - an annual official award of world’s golf travel industry.
