Da Chong historical relic site welcomes visitors
Update: Mar 10, 2016
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has granted approval for Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board to open up the Da Chong (K9) historical relic site in Ha Noi’s Ba Vi district to the public as from March, 2016.

The historical relic site is located on Ba Vi Mountain, about 70 kilometres from downtown Ha Noi to the west.

In May, 1957, President Ho Chi Minh decided to choose the site as a working and relaxing place for the Party Central Committee. Many decisions and instructions of the Committee were issued here, contributing to the liberation of the South and the national reunification in 1975.

During 1969-1975, the body of President Ho Chi Minh was preserved at the site.

According to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board, along with upgrades made to exhibition house, film-screening room, parking lot and road, a memorial house to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh was also constructed in the site.

The board also drew up plan to ensure security while organising training courses for staff who are in charge of receiving visitors at the site.
