(TITC) – On April 8th 2016, a press conference on the preparation for Viet Nam International Travel Mart - VITM Ha Noi 2016 was held in Ha Noi. Accordingly, the event will open in Ha Noi from April 14-17, in Viet Nam Exhibition and Fair Center, 148 Giang Vo Street, Ba Dinh District.

Themed “Viet Nam – The paradise of sea and island tourism”, VITM Ha Noi 2016 will introduce to visitors Viet Nam’s sea and island tourism type, thereby to contribute to enhancing uniqueness and competitive capacity of Viet Nam tourism products. It is also a chance to attract more int’l tourists to Viet Nam, especially to sea and island area. Thousands of the country’s tourism products, particularly sea and island tourism will be introduced at the VITM Ha Noi 2016.
Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Chairman of Viet Nam Tourism Association Vu The Binh said presently, 502 booths are officially registered, including 115 ones of companies from 25 countries and territories, and 387 ones of local businesses from 42 provinces and cities nationwide. At the VITM Ha Noi 2016, 535 tourism businesses will introduce their tourist products as well as to participate in tourism stimulus program in 2016.
In the framework of the VITM Ha Noi 2016, there are many specific events such as 7 international workshops; 10 press conferences; launching ceremony of "Improving the Vietnamese tourists’ image"; introducing traditional art troupes from Russia and the North West, Central Highlands, South Central regions of Viet Nam…
It is expected to see the participation of 3,000 enterprises and approximately 62,000 visitors.
To cater for sociological surveys and timely information, the Organizating Board continues publishing four issues of “VITM Ha Noi 2016 Panorama” (Vietnamese and English version), 10,000 copies each one to deliver free to booths, enterprises and visitors at the fair.
This is the first year Viet Nam Tourism Association has organized “The Viet Nam’s most attractive destinations in 2015” Award to honor Viet Nam’s outstanding destinations including the most attractive resort, most attractive amusement park, best craft village, best museum, and best beach. The results are based on votes of public through the website tripi.vn, tourism journalists and evaluation by VITA’s professional board.
The award ceremony will be held at the opening ceremony of VITM Ha Noi 2016, in Daewoo Hotel, Ha Noi on April 13th.
