(TITC) - Hue Monuments Conservation Centre held the welcoming ceremony of the 2,500,000th visitors to the Complex of Hue Monuments in 2016, Ms. Pfister Nelda from Switzerland. This is one of highlight activities at Golden Tourism Week in the Complex of Hue Monuments from 25 to 31 December 2016.
To attract visitors to the Complex of Hue Monuments, in 2016, Hue Monuments Conservation Centre has implemented 3 tourism stimulus programs of “Golden Tourism Week” with the aim of bringing Hue heritage values closer to visitors and attracting more visitors to Hue City.
The number of visitors to the Complex of Hue Monuments in 2016 reached more than 2,500,000 arrivals, up 500,000 arrivals over 2015. In particular, the number of international visitors increased significantly, reached more than 1.4 million arrivals, an increase of over 15% compared to 2015. The receipts from entrance fees in 2016 are expected to reach more than VND 260 billion, increasing approximately VND 60 billion compared to 2015, exceeding 31% of the year’s plan.
