The Viet Nam Embassy in Egypt held the Viet Nam Cultural Day in Banha City, Qalyubia on March 2 with the aim of promoting the image of Viet Nam, its land and people to Egyptian friends.
Visitors had a chance to watch a photo gallery introducing the beauty of Viet Nam’s land, people, culture and customs, and enjoy traditional Vietnamese food, art performance and documentary film show.
The ‘Viet Nam Corner’ highlights documents on Viet Nam’s history, culture, international relations and diplomacy in English and Arabic.
Former Egypt Ambassador to Viet Nam Reda El-Taify, who is also Director of the Egyptian Public Library Development Fund, said he will work with Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt to further promote bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially culture and people-to-people exchange.
Viet Nam Ambassador to Egypt Do Hoang Long introduced guests on the history, cultural identities and economic development achievements of Viet Nam.
He hopes that the event will help Egyptian, especially young people, gain a better understanding about Viet Nam and promote people-to-people exchange between the two countries.
