(TITC) - On 24 March 2017, in Ha Noi, Viet Nam Tourism Association (VITA) in cooperation with Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and Ha Noi’s Department of Tourism organized the press conference to introduce the 5th Viet Nam International Travel Mart – VITM Ha Noi 2017 with the theme “Ha Noi – The destination of Viet Nam”.
According to the organization board of the mart, the 5th VITM Ha Noi 2017 will take place from 6 to 9 April 2017 at Ha Noi International Centre for Exhibition (91 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem District). This year, VITM Ha Noi is expected to attract about 450 booths of 646 enterprises, tourism authorities from 43 provinces, cities of Viet Nam and 25 countries and territories.
One of the highlights of VITM Ha Noi 2017 is International Street Food Festival held for the first time. The festival will have the participations of dozens of domestic and international famous chefs with the purpose of promoting street food of Viet Nam and bringing visitors unique street food experiences of Viet Nam and some countries in the region.
VITM Ha Noi 2017 will focus on B2B meeting with the presence of buyer group from U.S.A lead by Vice Chairman of American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA). Especially, within the framework of the mart, the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between the Viet Nam Society of Travel Agents and ASTA will take place.
Besides, VITM 2017 also boosts inbound, outbound and domestic tourism through activities of direct sales (B2C); product & destination presentations, etc. The tourism stimulus programs at the mart are also expected to attract the attention of many visitors with about 150,000 airline tickets and 15,000 promotional tours with special discounts.
Along with the tourism stimulus programs, VITM Ha Noi 2017 will focus on 20 conferences, workshops, destination presentations such as meeting on “Action plan for implementation of Resolution No. 08-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing tourism into key economic sector”; opening ceremony of the Center for Culinary Research, Conservation and Development of Viet Nam; introduction of Cua Lo and Nghe An tourism; press conference “Announcing Viet Nam Tourism Skills Competition 2017”, etc.
During the travel mart, various cultural and art performances will be introduced to visitors. In particular, VITM Ha Noi 2017 will have the art performance of Viet beliefs in the Mother Goddesses of Three Realms recently recognized as Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The opening ceremony of VITM Ha Noi 2017 will be held on 6 April 2016 at the grand hall of Ha Noi International Centre for Exhibition.
