(TITC) - From 16 to 25 June 2017, Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee will organize Quang Binh Cave Festival 2017 with many unique activities to promote the potentials and strengths of Quang Binh tourism.
The opening ceremony of the festival will take place in the evening of 17 June 2017 in Bao Ninh Sea Square, Dong Hoi City. The highlight will be the art program themed “Kingdom of caves, grandiosity – myths” to bring out the values of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and unique grotto tourism products of Quang Binh Province. Besides, there will be also a ceremony to receive the world record certificates to the cave system in the province.
During the festival, many attractive activities will be also organized such as the launching of new tourist routes, sites and services; tourism stimulus program “Exploring “Kingdom of caves” - Quang Binh - Different experiences”; amazing race to discover the beautiful nature of Phong Nha with the terrain sport activities (bicycle - jogging - swimming); surveying tourist sites in Quang Binh Province and development of tourism products via Cat Bi - Dong Hoi flight route; parade, sailboat racing, kayaking and other water sports activities in Nhat Le Beach; Quang Binh – Hai Phong culture, tourism exchange; performances of water puppetry and Le Thuy ho khoan singing; performance of street arts with electronic music at Dong My Park, Cultural Centre Square, Nhat Le Beach, SunSpa Resort; the journey of returning the old battlefield with the theme “Journey on the legendary road” through the outstanding cultural and spiritual tourist sites on Ho Chi Minh Road.
Phong Nha - Ke Bang is known as “Kingdom of caves” with the outstanding natural resources of more than magnificent 300 caves. Besides, it also possesses diversified cultural, historical and spiritual values. Quang Binh Cave Festival held every two years is a typical culture, tourism event to promote tourism potentials and products of Quang Binh Province, especially grotto tourism.
