The ASEAN music dance and song festival 2017 will take place at the northern Vinh Phuc provincial Theatre from August 20 to 24.

The event, welcoming the 50th anniversary of ASEAN (August 8), will draw the participation of six international artistic troupes from Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia and Laos, along with two troupes of the host country.
Co-organized by the Department of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vinh Phuc provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies, it will be an opportunity to promote the image of Vinh Phuc province to international friends and Vietnamese people. Besides, it is a chance for local people to enjoy high-quality performances with the participation of international and Vietnamese artists, enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the people.
Apart from performances at the provincial center, artistic troupes will make tours to serve people in Yen Lac District and Phuc Yen Town.
Outstanding performances at the festival will be awarded at the closing ceremony held in the evening of August 24.
