The ASEAN Village will take place for the first time at the 23-9 Park, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City from September 21-24.
The event is organised by the municipal Department of External Affairs and the Consulates General of the 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member nations.
The cultural exchange event aims to mark the 50th founding anniversary of ASEAN and the 22nd anniversary of Viet Nam's admission to the bloc.
Founded in 1967, the 10-member ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam.
ASEAN is one of Viet Nam’s leading trading partners and an important driving force in helping Viet Nam’s economy maintain its exports and growth over recent years.
