Tam Giac Mach flower festival will be held at Sun World Fansipan Legend in Sa Pa Town in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai on October 14-31.
The festival will feature a series of cultural activities such as folk games and traditional music performances of ethnic minority groups in the northern mountainous region
Visitors will also have a chance to enjoy a field of Tam Giac Mach flower covering on an area over 2,000 square meters in Sun World Fansipan Legend.
Tam Giac Mach, or "triangle oat" “buckwheat”, is a tiny wild flower with triangular-shaped leaves with a pink colour. Early October is the time when Tam Giac Mach flowers come to season in Ha Giang, Lao Cai and Cao Bang provinces.
The Dong Van Highlands in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang is home to Tam Giac Mach flower. The "triangle oat" fields spreading out on mountain slopes atrract many visitors and photographers to Ha Giang to enjoy the beauty of Tam Giac Mach flower blooming all over the place, across the hillsides and villages.
