Old Quarter to host activities honouring Ha Noi’s cultural heritages
Update: Nov 13, 2017
A programme will be held from November 17 to 26 in the Ha Noi Old Quarter to honour the capital city’s cultural heritages.

Ha Noi’s traditional tea culture will be spotlighted
at Viet Nam’s Heritage House during the programme

The opening ceremony in the Ha Noi Old Quarter Culture Exchange Centre, 50 Dao Duy Tu street, on November 17 will feature a fashion show of Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress), which will introduce latest designs by designers Do Trinh Hoai Nam and Lan Anh.

The centre will then host an exhibition introducing the exam system and a seminar discussing Vietnamese’s male Ao Dai, on November 18.

Ha Noi's traditional tea culture will be in the spotlight at the Viet Nam’s Heritage House (87 Ma May Street), featuring the participation of tea masters.

Meanwhile, visitors to Kim Ngan Temple (42-44 Hang Bac Street) will be introduced to folklore musical art forms of ca tru (ceremonial singing) and cheo (traditional opera).

The programme, held to celebrate Viet Nam Cultural Day (November 23), is part of an action plan of the Ha Noi Old Quarter’s managing board to promote the area’s cultural values and boost the city’s tourism.
