Cai Rang floating market in southwestern region will be recreated at the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Dong Mo tourism area of Son Tay town in Ha Noi on November 18th.


Cai Rang floating market  to be recreated in Ha Noi

This is a major activity in the framework of a week to highlight Vietnamese ethnic groups' great solidarity, held at the Village from November 8th to 23rd to mark Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day (November 23rd).

The organizing board will introduce water commercial culture at the floating market, which has become a specific tourism product in Can Tho city and southwestern Viet Nam.

In addition, Can Tho city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize several activities to introduce special products and foods of the southwest and promote tourism products in the city, and art performances.

The week to highlight Vietnamese ethnic groups' great solidarity is expected to draw the participation of 200 people, artists, actors and actresses from 12 groups, including Tay, Dao, Mong, Muong, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Co Tu, E De, Khmer, Kinh and Raglai, from 12 provinces and cities nationwide, and artists from Viet Nam National Cailuong Theatre.  

Diverse activities, such as the day on national great solidarity, seminar on building and developing the Village in the new situation, and the opening ceremony for the first phase of Phap An pagoda, will also be held.
