Providing information about Viet Nam to foreign diplomats

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on January 25th organized a session titled “Learning about Viet Nam”’ to provide information about Viet Nam to foreign diplomats and representatives.

The event drew around 90 delegates from foreign diplomatic corps, including 19 heads of diplomatic representative agencies and international organizations, together with representatives from foreign non-governmental organizations, cultural centres, groups, and businesses in Ha Noi.

Participants studied about Vietnamese culture, history and economic achievements, together with its priorities and policies for 2018 and towards 2020.

The event aimed to boost friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and other countries. The organizers held the program near the time of the lunar New Year to highlight the fine traditions of Vietnamese people to international friends.

Every year, about 200 foreign diplomats take up new missions in Viet Nam. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has held the annual session since 2015 to help them develop an accurate and full understanding of Viet Nam. It has attracted great attention and support from diplomatic missions and international organizations in the country.
