Spiritual and cultural complex on Fansipan Peak opens

The Central Committee of the Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) on January 30 held a requiem for national peace and people’s prosperity in 2018, and an inauguration ceremony of a spiritual and cultural complex on Fansipan Peak in Sa Pa Town, the northern Lao Cai Province.

The spiritual and cultural complex which was built in the end of 2015 features two impressive works, Kim Son Bao Thang Pagoda and a giant statue of Amitabha Buddha.

According to project’s designer, professor Hoang Dao Kinh, tens of thousands of cubic meters of rock; thousands of cubic meters of wood and tiles were used to build pagodas, bell tower and temples in the harsh weather condition on the summit of Mount Fansipan.

The spiritual and cultural complex is now officially open for pilgrims from across the country to pray for peace prosperity and happiness.
