The peak period for visitors to Da Lat city runs from the third to fifth day of the first lunar month. Apart from tourists on travel agency packages, visitors in groups travelling by motorbike and car from neighbouring areas also flocked to the city, leading to severe traffic congestion in the city centre at rush hours. The prices of tourism, hotel, and accommodation services are also higher than on normal days.

Most of tourists visiting the city during the Tet holiday have selected traditional tourism sites such as Thung Lung Tinh Yeu (the Valley of Love), the Flower Garden in the city centre, and the ancient Da Lat Railway Station.

In addition, other destinations like Datanla waterfall, Prenn waterfall, Gold Valley, and Lang Biang Mountain have also attracted a large number of visitors.
