The Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2018 officially opened at the Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourism Area and Trang An Ecotourism Area, in the northern province of Ninh Binh on June 9.
The week-long event is being held as part a series of activities to mark the 1050th anniversary of the Dai Co Viet state, the first feudal state of Viet Nam
Accordingly, a number of diverse activities will be held such as the Tam Coc pedestrian street and gastronomy market, survey photography tours on in Tam Coc, a survey on building Ninh Binh tourism products, a photo exhibition on Tam Coc and Trang An, traditional artistic performances, and shows on traditional handicrafts.
The event, which will run until June 16, is expected to create an opportunity for Ninh Binh to promote exchanges and cooperation in culture, socio-economics and tourism with Vietnamese and foreign localities, and affirm the position of Ninh Binh province as a safe, attractive, civilised, friendly and hospitable tourism destination.
The event aims to introduce the specific characteristics of NinhBinh provincial tourism, especially the Trang An landscape complex - a world cultural and natural heritage. Activities will take place along the two sides of the Ngo Dong River, as part of the Dinh Cac - Ca Cave - Hai Cave - Ba Cave tour, contributing to increasing the number of visitors and turnover from tourism activities and striving to make provincial tourism a key economic sector by 2030.
