(TITC) – Aiming to lure more tourists from European markets, from June 19-28, 2018, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) led by Chairman Nguyen Van Tuan hosted roadshows promoting Viet Nam tourism in 4 countries including Switzerland, Austria, Czech and Hungary.

The programs were co-hosted by Vietnamese embassies in the four countries and Vietnam Airlines with the participation of 17 Viet Nam’s localities and tourism enterprises. It was a good chance for Viet Nam’s enterprises and European partners to meet and seek cooperation opportunies in tourism business.
Addressing at the roadshows, Chairman Nguyen Van Tuan affirmed that Europe, including Switzerland, Austria, Czech and Hungary, is a very important tourist market of Viet Nam. The country, endowned with long beaches, natural diversity, and local hospitality has become an attractive destination of international tourists including Europeans. Viet Nam tourism has been rapidly accelerating and is striving to become a key economic sector of the country in near future, Mr. Tuan informed.

Vietnamese traditional culture was also introduced to European audience through interesting water puppetry performance by Vietnamese artists.
The roadshow program in Europe was part of VNAT’s tourism promotional campaign in 2018. At the same time, another roadshow was also launched in 4 cities of Republic of Korea, including Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu and Busan.
