The Central Highlands Gongs Festival 2018 will take place from November 9th to 11th in Gia Lai province, with the participation of 2,000 people from five Central Highlands provinces.

Diverse activities such as gong performances, street festival, the Central Highlands Gongs Cultural Day, performance of gong playing, folk wood sculpture and brocade weaving, photo exhibition on Central Highlands gongs cultural space, exhibition on the life and career of artist Xu Man from Gia Lai province, photo exhibition and performance of Vietnamese ethnic musical instruments and workshop on the preservation and promotion of Central Highlands gongs cultural space, will be held.
Apart from introducing new tours and community tourism, seminar on investment promotion, inauguration ceremony of Le Thanh - Duc Co border gate, fair on Vietnamese high quality products, and a street coffee event will be organized. Visitors are able to enjoy special foods of three region and local specialities.
The activities aim to honour Central Highlands gongs, contributing to encouraging local people to preserve and promote the cultural identity of the Vietnamese ethnic community; popularize the image of Gia Lai province to Vietnamese and foreign visitors; and enrich the opportunity for investment in the localities.
