The fourth Viet Nam-Japan culture and trade exchange programme kicked off at Luu Huu Phuoc Park, Can Tho city, on November 2, as part of the activities to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties.
Organised by the People's Committee of Can Tho city and the Can Tho branch of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the opening ceremony was attended by former President Truong Tan Sang, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man, representatives of ministries, committees, and central branches, leaders of Can Tho City, representatives of the Japanese Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as businesses, artisans and artists from Japan alongside a large number of Can Tho people.
The programme includes many traditional art performances of the two countries. The event is considered as an opportunity to introduce the beauty of Can Tho City in particular and Viet Nam in general to Japanese friends and vice versa.
In addition, the programme also has more than 100 booths of enterprises from the two countries in many fields, such as services, tourism, technology, fashion, cosmetics, handicrafts and cuisine, attracting thousands of visitors.
