(TITC) – From 22-28 November 2018, the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism organized a famtrip for travel enterprises and press agencies from Israel to explore tourist attractions in some cities and provinces of Ha Noi, Hoa Binh, Ninh Binh and Quang Ninh.
The famtrip organization was an activity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Viet Nam – Israel diplomatic relations establishment and to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in tourism field, particularly.
The famtrip with the participation of 12 delegates from travel enterprises, press agencies and Royal Jordanian Airlines would help Israeli travel enterprises study more about Viet Nam tourism and create new tours for Israeli visitors to Viet Nam, as well as coordinate with airlines to facilitate the travel of visitors between Viet Nam and Israel. Furthermore, Viet Nam’s tourist services and products would be promoted to the Israeli public via Israel’s press agencies.
The Middle East in general and Israel in particular has been considered potential source markets of Viet Nam tourism sector in recent years. The number of Israeli visitors to Viet Nam in 2017 recorded 25,000 arrivals, representing a year-on-year increase of 14%.
In the seven-day famtrip, the delegates visited some attractions such as President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter (Ha Noi); traditional house-on-stilts of Thai ethnic group, handicrafts and brocade producing villages, Thai ethnic villages (Hoa Binh Province); King Dinh Tien Hoang’s Temple, Tam Coc tourist spot (Ninh Binh Province). The famtrip’s participants also had a chance to experience kayaking and visiting caves in Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh Province).
