The festival will feature a flower offering to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his statue in Vinh City and a parade from the city to his hometown in Sen Village, along with various cultural and sporting events.
The sideline activities include a volleyball tournament, a singing contest, a display of propaganda posters on Uncle Ho’s 130th birthday, a photo exhibition on the land and people of ASEAN countries, a film week and a book display on the life and career of Uncle Ho.
There will also be business-to-business matching events to tighten connection between travel agents in boosting Nghe An Province’s tourism, and an exchange with film crews and cinematic artists who have produced films on President Ho Chi Minh.
The Sen Village Festival aims to popularise and educate people about President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, thus fostering the ‘Study and follow President Ho’s ideology, morality and lifestyle’ movement.
It also helps to advertise the image of his homeland – Sen Village and Nghe An Province in general both domestically and internationally.
