(TITC) - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) has issued decision on the organization of international workshop "Via Ba Chua Xu Festival and the forms of goddess worship in the world".

According to the decision, the MOCST allows the Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture to coordinate with the People's Committee of Chau Doc City (in An Giang Province) and the Management Board of Nui Sam Cultural, Historical and Tourist Relic Site, Chau Doc-An Giang organized an international workshop "Via Ba Chua Xu Festival and other forms of goddess worship in the world".
The workshop will attract the participations of representatives of relevant agencies and organizations, Vietnamese and Asia-Pacific scientists in the field of culture. The seminar will be held in Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture and combine by the webinar platform on December 18, 2021. The organization of the workshop complies with regulations on prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Before that, An Giang Province plans to build a dossier "Via Ba Chua Xu Festival" to submit to UNESCO for recognition of the intangible cultural heritage representing humanity. The organization of this workshop will help An Giang Province learn experience in building records as well as preserving and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage.
