The authorities of Me Linh district, Hanoi, held an incense offering to commemorate the 1982nd anniversary of the Trung sisters' Uprising, at the Trung sisters' Temple on February 6, the sixth day of the first lunar month.

The delegates recounted the sacrifices of Trung Trac, her younger sister Trung Nhi and their talented generals and soldiers, who wrote a brilliant golden page in the nation's history.
The Trung sisters' Uprising taught valuable lessons in the struggle for national liberation.

The contest has been organised annually, to paint buffaloes for the traditional festival, with the aim to pray for a prosperous harvest, in the New Year.
Painter Nguyen Thi Sao from Hoa Mac ward, Duy Tien town, said that 2022 is the Year of the Tiger, thus his painting conveyed the message, that the buffaloes will have the strength of the tigers, to bring bountiful crops for farmers.
The buffaloes with the best decorations, were selected to go to the field, during the Tich Dien Doi Son Festival, which took place on February 7.
