(TITC) - On 19th February, in Quang Binh Province, Quang Binh Department of Tourism in association with Oxalis Co., Ltd (Oxalis Adventure) held a meeting with the nature film team of BBC Landmark Natural History Series after the team finished the recording programme at Phong Nha - Ke Bang.

Attending the meeting, there were Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT); Mr. Ho An Phong, Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee; leaders from the Department of Tourism and relevant sectors, units and authorities.

Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Ho An Phong sent out a great thanks to the film team for choosing Quang Binh Province as the destination to make such a meaningful film about nature. He added, after nearly 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, international tourism came to a deadlock, this event is expected to contribute to promoting Quang Binh Province and Vietnam tourism to the world.
Mr. Phong affirmed that Quang Binh Province has been and will be welcoming, offering the most favourable conditions for both domestic and international film teams, media agencies to carry out promotional programmes about tourism and people of Quang Binh Province in the upcoming time.

On behalf of the film team, Producer Theo Thomas Webb thanked the attention of the agencies, departments and authorities of Quang Binh Province as well as the Oxalis Adventure who have cooperated and supported the team lately. The members of the team were amazed by the magical natural beauty of the caves, primaeval forests, and the diverse and unique ecosystem of Phong Nha - Ke Bang.
The team affirmed that they will make every effort to perform well the post-production stages to have impressive footage, contributing to promoting the image and tourism of Quang Binh Province as well as Vietnam to a wide audience around the world.
At the meeting, VNAT’s Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu and Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee Ho An Phong offered badges “Conquering Son Doong Cave - the world’s largest cave” to members of the film team.

The BBC nature film team is under of BBC Landmark Natural History Series, consists of six members, led by producer Theo Webb, as well as cameramen and a safety expert from the United States and the United Kingdom. In which, Photographer Ryan Deboodt, who has brought the images of Son Doong Cave and Quang Binh Province to the world over the past few years. The team started recording scenes at Phong Nha - Ke Bang from 29th January 2022. |
