The Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee has approved a project on promoting the tourism potential of the Than Sa – Phuong Hoang nature reserve, during the 2022-2030 period.

The project will be implemented on over 2,000 hectares of the site in Dinh Ca town and Phu Thuong commune, Vo Nhai district, which is currently managed by the Thai Nguyen provincial management board of protective and special-use forests.
The project aims to further safeguard and promote the value of the natural landscape and biodiversity of the site, as well as indigenous cultural heritages of local ethnic groups while contributing to improving the living of local people.
Under the project, more destinations and tourist routes will be designed at the site, and investment will be made to improve its tourist facilities, to make Than Sa – Phuong Hoang nature reserve more attractive to visitors.
The project set targets that the site will welcome 100,000 – 150,000 visitors annually and create jobs for about 500 local people by 2025, greet 150,000 – 200,000 travellers and provide jobs for around 1,000 people in the 2026-2030 period.
Covering nearly 20,000 hectares in Vo Nhai district, Than Sa – Phuong Hoang nature reserve is blessed with a rich flora and fauna system, majestic natural landscape and fresh climate. It is also the living area of ethnic groups with unique cultural identities.
