Update: Jun 01, 2010
The Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese Students’ Association (VSA) in the UK jointly held a music programme entitled “Memory of a love” in London on May 29.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador Tran Quang Hoan said the show was one of the activities hosted by the Vietnamese agencies in the UK to celebrate the nation’s important events, including the 35th anniversary of liberation of the South, the 120th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

The programme represented the deep sentiments of overseas Vietnamese students in the UK towards their homeland in general and the capital city of Hanoi in particular, he said, adding that it also offered a chance to promote the image of Vietnam to UK and international friends.

On the occasion, Ambassador Hoan and VSA President Nguyen Minh Triet presented the “Student of the Year 2010” award to eight Vietnamese students who have scored outstanding academic achievements as well as made great contributions to the VSA’s activities.
