Mid-Autumn in Phan Thiet

Phan Thiet will hold the ‘Children in Phan Thiet welcomes Mid-Autumn Festival and towards the millennium anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi” event on September 21-22 (or the 14th and 15th day of the eighth lunar month) at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square and around the city.

The festival will kick off at 6 pm on September 21 with around 4,000 students from 40 schools in Phan Thiet City and neighboring districts including Ham Thuan Bac and Ham Thuan Nam. There will be music performances by children, drum performance and moon cake donations.

The highlight will be a parade of 5,000 lanterns along the city’s main streets including Nguyen Tat Thanh, Ton Duc Thang, Thu Khoa Huan, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Du and Phan Thiet sevenways. The festival wraps up on September 22 with lantern parades and more celebrations.
