The "100 Interesting Facts" were decided based on votes by national and international tourists. Nearly 300 places in 20 categories were nominated, including museums, architecture, historical and cultural sites, and traditional markets, as well as nighttime entertainment venues, favourite southern food, special cultural, sports and tourism events, and trademark souvenirs.  

The organising board will shoot a short film on the "100 Interesting Facts", which will be shown on domestic and international flights operated the national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines.  

The "Ho Chi Minh City - 100 Interesting Facts" programme aims to introduce and promote the city's culture and tourist attractions and improve the quality of its tourism services.
